Personal Training
At JAX Fitness & Rehab, personal training is more than just a workout — it’s a structured, individualized plan built around your goals, movement patterns, and long-term progress. Whether you're recovering from an injury, just getting started, or striving to reach peak performance, our expert coaches are here to guide you every step of the way.
Every program begins with a comprehensive Movement & Mobility Assessment to identify postural imbalances, limitations, and opportunities for growth. From there, we build a custom plan that’s backed by science and driven by your unique goals.
We offer both Private 1-on-1 Training and Tandem Sessions (train with a partner), delivered in a clean, calm gym environment — with no waiting for machines or guessing what to do next.

Head Personal Trainer
My name is Darien Santillan. As a holistic coach, my main goal is to empower my clients in making truly life-altering behaviour changes that will improve their health and well-being for years to come.
My fitness journey started when I was a little girl; from a young ballerina, to a degree in Nutrition, to a fitness entrepreneur, to a proud personal trainer, striving to inspire by example every day.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned to develop the discipline to persevere through my own personal struggles, with the realization that most aspects of life are interconnected; one’s fitness goals shall not neglect mental self-care, emotional self-love nor patience with oneself. When we treat our systems with cohesion, we can maintain lifelong personal habits, enabling us to be the best.

I am absolutely passionate about human movement and unlocking your pain free potential! I love to work with a variety of goals and abilities from rehabilitating injuries all the way to bodybuilding and sports performance. Growing up in New Zealand I played every sport I could and eventually settled on competing in rowing. In rowing I discovered the huge benefits that strength training has on performance and became fascinated in all aspects of performance. I completed a Bachelors of Exercise Science and have loved coaching for the last 7 years.

With over 10 years in the fitness industry, Asuka brings a “built in the gym” approach rooted in both experience and resilience. He has coached clients across a wide range of sports, including hockey, MMA, football, and powerlifting, and also serves as a striking and counter-grappling coach at UBC.
Having undergone ACL surgery and rehab himself, Asuka understands the challenges of recovery and uses that perspective to guide clients back to strength and confidence. He has worked with individuals managing chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, and conditions such as fibromyalgia and aerophagia, collaborating effectively with local specialists to support each client’s needs.
Asuka’s philosophy is simple: everyone is strong at something — his goal is to help you discover it.
